Cat was hungry. He was always hungry. He had no home, no one to look
after or feed him, or pet him or stroke him or even to give him a name.
He lived in a box at the bottom of a grumpy mans garden. He didn't even
know the cat lived there. Every time the man saw the cat he would shoo
him off, one time he even threw a bucket of water over him, which didn't
really matter because he was already soaked from the rain. Cat ran back
to his box, which by now was just about ruined by all the rain that had
fallen on it, it was leaking every where. Cat needed a new home. And
fast. One day, while sat in the garden cat could smell the mans
wife cooking dinner. Wife was nice, she used to throw him scraps of
food when the man wasn't looking. Last time the man saw her throwing
scraps he chased the cat off down the road waving a shoe at him. By now cats house was just a pile of mushy cardboard lying at the bottom of the garden, no longer livable that's for sure. Cat hadn't eaten for ages and was starving, even the birds and mice
weren't around to be eaten, and that's when he saw it, the biggest
juiciest piece of meat placed on the side just by the open window. Cat
saw his chance of food that would feed him for two days. He ran and
jumped up at the open window, grabbed the piece of meat in his jaws
and...... Just as he was about to run the man came in and saw him GET
OFF MY TEA the man shouted while picking up everything he could grab to
throw at the cat, wooden spoon, potatoes, a shoe, and even a bowl of
sprouts, but for nothing or nobody was cat going to give up this meal,
he ran and ran with the meat still in his mouth and with the man still
chasing him he ran over fences and through gardens still with the meat
in his mouth and still with the man giving chase. The man
started to tire and slowed down to a stop, huffing and puffing and
calling the cat all manner of things, even throwing a couple of stones
that narrowly missed him.
The cat eventually found a nice dry
spot to eat his meal and enjoy it he did. The only downside was that he
was going to have to find another garden to live in now.

School run
It's school run time and the skies look grey
Could rain any minute, it's been sunny all day
Standing in the playground waiting for the bell
The doors fling open to screaming shouting hell
The wind is here now, all letters in a muddle
Muddy shoes and wet legs from splashing in the puddle
Kids telling parents all about their day
Who's done this and who's done that and what the teachers say
Nice for a bit of peace, or so the parents say
But its nice to have em back at the end of the day

The unfortunate events that led to me been eaten by a spider
I spy a spider, climbing up my wall SPLAT!
That's the only way to deal with that
I spy a spider,crawling by my shoe
SQUASH! is the way to deal with you
I spy a spider, all big and hairy
HA-HA-HA not at all scary
I spy a spider, in the washing bowl
GUSH of water and he's down the plughole
I spy a spider, dinning on a fly
Along came me and POKED him in the eye
I spy a spider, and another, and another and another
Then i see a giant one, she must be the mother
I spy a spider, and she looks very mad
I'm sorry mother spider i know i've been very bad
I spy a mean boy, who i think is rather smelly
CHOMP, CHOMP, CHOMP
But still he taste's delicious down in my belly.

Memories of a snowball fight
Looking out of the window the world looks white
The snow's covered everything it's been falling all night
Have my breakfast, then run to wrap up warm
Quickly get outside other kids will swarm
SNOWBALL FIGHT one kid chants
Getting into groups like a swarm of army ants
Get into your groups this is it
All the kids are ducking not wanting to be hit
The first ones thrown but where was it from
Exploding on a window like a snowy bomb
All of a sudden the sky turns white
As every kids snowball take flight
One kid is hit, straight in the face
The snowball's all stop so all can gaze
It'll leave a red mark one kid shouts
You're telling me, it gave him a clout
Kids fall all over land on their bellies
Feet cold and wet because of the snow in their wellies
Numb fingertips and rosy red cheeks
running noses, you'll be poorly for weeks
But we don't care, it come's once a year
The snow all melting that's our fear
A shout from our mums and we're in for dinner
Each of the groups saying they are the winner
Sat by the fire trying to warm up our feet
The redness and numbness subsides with the heat
Sogging wet clothes all thrown in a pile
Memories of a snowball fight making us smile

A witch's brew
A cauldron on the fire, bubbling away
A black cat in the corner, watching witch's play
A pinch of this, a pinch of that
Old hag cackling, in her pointy hat
A handful of worms, a thorn from a rose
Slime from slugs, and snot from her nose
Toe nail cuttings, some fur from a rat
And just pluck a whisker from her own black cat
These are what you need to make a witch's brew
I wonder who it's meant for, could it be YOU?
What will it turn you in to? maybe a bug
Or a giant ogre who lives in the woods
I know who it's meant for, it's me, i was mean
And now i'm a toad all slimy and green
A black cat in the corner, watching witch's play
A pinch of this, a pinch of that
Old hag cackling, in her pointy hat
A handful of worms, a thorn from a rose
Slime from slugs, and snot from her nose
Toe nail cuttings, some fur from a rat

Memories Forever
"Did you have a good day at work dear" asked Alice as Stan walked through the door.
"Yes love " said Stan. Same as usual really"
"I'm sorry dear I didn't make you any tea because..........."
"Oh don't worry love I'll make a sandwich after my bath".
Stan went to have a bath like he did every night after work. Then he made his tea, like he did every night after his bath. Alice used to do his tea, but not anymore.
After his bath and sandwich Stan decided to go for a walk.
Alice went along too.
They loved to go walking together, they always had. They walked everywhere.
"Do you remember when we first met Alice?" asked Stan. "We would walk for miles, go for picnics, and talk for hours on end.
Alice chuckled to herself with an expression on her face that seemed to take her back.
They walked past the factory where Stan worked as a carpenter. He always thought that the factory looked strange at night. So quiet.
Very different from the daytime when all the machines were running and people were rushing around doing their work.
Next they went to their favourite place, the park. They always loved the park.
"I remember when we first met, Alice" said Stan. "It was over there by that tree. It was only about eight foot tall do you remember? Now look. It must be fifty feet tall and still going strong.
"Yes dear I remember" said Alice.
"It's so different now" said Stan, as he stood looking around the park.
"I wish we were young again Alice, even if just for one day" Stan said with a tear in his eye.
They walked past the stream that they used to sit by. They'd talk for hours about the future, about now.
"It doesn't seem like fifty years ago, it went by so fast.
Most things in the park have changed but there are some little things still left that are the same, and the memories, well they will last forever.
"Lets sit down on our bench dear" Stan said.
Stan made the bench at work. He loved to make things, he was good at it too.
"Still as strong as the day I made it" Stan said knocking on the back by a plaque.
"It'll be here when I'm gone I'll bet you".
Alice chuckled to herself and looked at Stan with such love in her eyes. A tear rolled down her left cheek.
"Yes, it'll be here long after me" he repeated.
"Then they will have to change this plaque I made for you.
Stan turned to read the plaque, like he did everytime he came to the park and sat on their bench.
It read,
In loving memory of Alice Rogerson, who loved this place and sadly died, May 18th 2009. Wife of Stan Rogerson.
Memories Forever.
Stan read the words and pondered on the memories of him and Alice before she had died.
"I love you my dear" Stan said to the figure of Alice that was now fading away front of him.
Alice smiled back and mouthed the words "love you".
Stan was left there alone on the now empty bench. "I'll see you soon dear" Stan said before setting off on his journey back home.

Holly and Kitty get ill
"Oh mum I can't go to school today I feel so unwell. I feel achey, sicky, and snotty and I keep sn.....ahhh.....sn.....ahhhhh sneezing AHHHCHOO! said Holly.
Just then Kitty came into the kitchen. "Can I stay home from school too if Holly is?" Kitty asked mum. "no" said mum. "You're not poorly, now get ready for school".
"It's not fair, I wish I was poorly so I could stay home" Kitty grumbled, while getting her shoes on.
At home Holly spent the day in bed, eating nothing but chicken soup. "I'm so bored" Holly said to herself.
"I wish I wasn't poorly so I could go to school and play with my friends".
At school Kitty was having lots of fun playing with her friends and doing her favourite lesson, P.E, her class also had a math test which she really enjoyed.
When Kitty got home from school she went straight upstairs to see how Holly was feeling.
"I'm a bit AHHHCHOO! better" said holly with a stuffy nose".
I'll stay in and play with you instead of playing out" Kitty said, feeling sorry for her sister. "Thank you Kitty " Holly said. "I've been bored all day".
While Kitty ran around the room playing all Holly could do was sit on the bed and play with her dolls.
"You'll feel better soon Holly" said Kitty. Just then mum popped her head in the room and said "let Holly get some sleep now Kitty, she needs to get better". So off Kitty went to play downstairs.
Holly could hear Kitty playing downstairs and thought how bored she was and wished she could get well again. Eventually Holly fell asleep.
The next morning Holly came down for breakfast feeling a lot better "I can't wait to go to school today" she said to her mum.
AAAHHHHHCCCCHHHHOOOOO! mum and Holly heard sneezing coming from upstairs".
"Oh dear! sounds like Kitty has caught your bug" mum said . "Poor Kitty" Holly said.
So off to school Holly went while Kitty was at home feeling achey, sicky, and snotty.
AHHCHOO! Oh dear poor Kitty.
