cat

Cat was hungry. He was always hungry. He had no home, no one to look after or feed him, or pet him or stroke him or even to give him a name. He lived in a box at the bottom of a grumpy mans garden. He didn't even know the cat lived there. Every time the man saw the cat he would shoo him off, one time he even threw a bucket of water over him, which didn't really matter because he was already soaked from the rain. Cat ran back to his box, which by now was just about ruined by all the rain that had fallen on it, it was leaking every where. Cat needed a new home. And fast.  One day, while sat in the garden cat could smell the mans wife cooking dinner. Wife was nice, she used to throw him scraps of food when the man wasn't looking. Last time the man saw her throwing scraps he chased the cat off down the road waving a shoe at him.  By now cats house was just a pile of mushy cardboard lying at the bottom of the garden, no longer livable that's for sure. Cat hadn't eaten for ages and was starving, even the birds and mice weren't around to be eaten, and that's when he saw it, the biggest juiciest piece of meat placed on the side just by the open window. Cat saw his chance of food that would feed him for two days. He ran and jumped up at the open window, grabbed the piece of meat in his jaws and...... Just as he was about to run the man came in and saw him GET OFF MY TEA the man shouted while picking up everything he could grab to throw at the cat, wooden spoon, potatoes, a shoe, and even a bowl of sprouts, but for nothing or nobody was cat going to give up this meal, he ran and ran with the meat still in his mouth and with the man still chasing him he ran over fences and through gardens still with the meat in his mouth and still with the man giving chase.  The man started to tire and slowed down to a stop, huffing and puffing and calling the cat all manner of things, even throwing a couple of stones that narrowly missed him.
The cat eventually found a nice dry spot to eat his meal and enjoy it he did. The only downside was that he was going to have to find another garden to live in now.
